Mindfulness Sci: The App for Practicing Mindfulness
Mindfulness is a state of mind that emerges when one intentionally pays attention to the present moment, without judgment, and focuses on the immediate experience. Mindfulness Sci is an Android app that aims to facilitate the practice of mindfulness by providing users with a virtual instructor, scientifically validated mindfulness attention awareness scale, illustrations, videos, guided and unguided practices, a practice diary, statistics to track progress, alarms, and reminders.
The app is backed by the Association Institute of Aragonese Research and Health Promotion, composed of psychiatrists and psychologists. The app collects usage statistics and periodically sends them for study. A paid version of the app is available that does not store such statistics. With Mindfulness Sci, users can practice mindfulness in a structured and scientific manner, with the convenience of an app.
